What this is

HudsonR&D is coordinating a limited pilot to streamline simple, remote tax preparation using a secure client portal. Preparation is performed by a licensed Denver-based tax professional.

What qualifies as a "simple return"

This pilot is designed for returns that can be completed efficiently using professional software and a standardized checklist.

Typical eligible examples:

W-2 employees
Gig workers / 1099 income (straightforward, no complex structures)
Renters
Homeowners with common forms (e.g., mortgage interest) when it stays straightforward
Standard credits and routine documentation

What's usually NOT included (may require upgrade)

If your situation requires deeper review, additional forms, or more time, it may fall outside the simple-return pilot.

Common upgrade triggers:

Complex itemized deductions or extensive write-offs
Multiple states with complexity beyond standard handling
Business entities (LLCs with multi-member filings, S-Corp, etc.)
Significant investment activity (active trading, complicated brokerage reporting)
Crypto reporting that requires specialized reconciliation
Rental property schedules and more complex real estate scenarios
Anything that requires manual reconstruction due to missing documentation

You can apply your reservation toward full service, or
Request a refund processed within 30 days
